Dr Sandeep Morkhandikar, would like introduce myself to this premier organization. In brief, I completed my D.M. Nephrology training (3 years) from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry (Pondicherry), India in July 2015. I did my residency in Seth GSMC & KEM hospital, Mumbai, India during 2008-2011.
I did my graduation from GMC & JJ Hospital, Mumbai.
I completed my Adult fellowship in Nephrology at university of Toronto, Canada in June 2019. This was extensive two years fellowship covering different aspect of nephrology. UHN is among one world’s top ten hospital and it was pleasure to work in this hospital.
I did receive Gold medal DNB Nephrology in June 2016.
My main area of interest is in following few areas of Nephrology
- Different methods of renal replacement treatment (CAPD, APD, HDF, online HDF, Home hemodialysis, etc.)
- Glomerular disease
- CKD and Pregnancy
- Acute Kidney Injury and their outcomes
- Inherited renal diseases (ADPKD, Alports etc )
- High risk renal transplantation
